The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Trophy 2025 (Esports Division) stands as a landmark initiative by the Tamil Nadu Government, exclusively for players from Tamil Nadu, to promote and recognize the state’s growing esports talent. Organized by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), this prestigious event was held on October 12, 2025, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.

For the first time, esports was officially included as part of the state-level championship, featuring competitive titles such as EA FC 25, Street Fighter 6, Pokémon Unite, BGMI, Valorant, and E-Chess. The tournament celebrates the state’s youth, innovation, and gaming excellence, marking a significant step in Tamil Nadu’s journey toward becoming a hub for competitive gaming in India.

Welt Esports proudly represented Tamil Nadu in the Chief Minister’s Trophy 2025 (Esports Division) and achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the 2nd Runner-Up position in the BGMI category. Competing against some of the best teams in the state, our players showcased outstanding skill, teamwork, and dedication throughout the tournament.

The moment became even more memorable as our team was honored by the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, in recognition of our performance and contribution to the growing esports community. This achievement stands as a proud testament to Welt Esports’ commitment to empowering Tamil Nadu’s gaming talent and pushing the boundaries of competitive esports in India.
